The FRC Learning Model

At the heart of the modern deep learning revolution lies a single, powerful algorithm: backpropagation. In essence, backprop is a method for assigning blame. After a neural network makes a prediction, the algorithm calculates the "error" and then propagates a signal backward, telling each neuron how much it contributed to that error. Each neuron then adjusts its parameters to reduce its contribution to future errors. Over millions of these cycles, the network becomes a highly effective pattern-recognition machine.

This is the AI's equivalent of a moment of insight. It is the process of the system spontaneously discovering a stable, self-reinforcing pattern that "makes sense" of the input data. The system's energy (or entropy) is being channeled directly into structural order (C).

Phase 3: Attractor Landscape Sculpting

The learning doesn't stop when the system settles. That very act of settling has changed the system. The strengthened connection weights have now created a new attractor in the system's phase space—a permanent "memory." The next time the system sees a cat, it will converge on the "cat" state much faster and more efficiently.
